The House is Currently Winning

Earlier this week I was in the bathroom and I heard a small crash from the kitchen. I went in to see what made the noise and discovered our ventilation hood partially fell down on top of the stove. Two days ago I looked at the Roman Shade in the kitchen and noticed that something wasn't right. One of the shades is broken. Two of the loops that hold the string in the proper place have been ripped out. I have no idea how that happened. I think I need a new kitchen.

Oh, ventilation hood...we will win this battle.
